Marking another sign of summer, Greenport’s family-favorite event kicks off the month of July this week with Dances in the Park. The lawn at Mitchell Park will welcome hundreds of visitors every Monday night now through August 27 for free concerts beginning at 7:30 p.m. This year’s lineup, in order, is: Who Art Those Guys, Vendettas, Southbound, The Motown Band, Abrazos, No Request Band, Winston Irie, Cravin Band, and Gene Casey and the Lone Sharks. Attendees can bring chairs, blankets, picnic baskets, and more for this fun summer concert series. Get there early – space fills up fast!
Want to bring some local takeout to the park? Get a pizza from 1943 Pizza Bar, tacos from Lucharitos, Mediterranean bites from Olive Branch Restaurant and Café, or burgers from Industry Standard.
