Photographer Jeremy Garretson has found a permanent home for his art in Greenport. His new studio gallery, J. Garretson Fine Art Photography located at 102 South Street, is celebrating with a grand opening this Friday, March 1 beginning at 1 p.m. Neighbor and friend First and South will provide refreshments. The opening will overlap with Greenport’s Gallery Walk from 6 to 9 p.m. The public is encouraged to come and learn more about Garretson, his work, and discover the world through his lens.
The Orient resident explores landscapes of the East End and beyond, bringing him closer to nature. He has traveled across the United States to photograph rural environments, traveled abroad to islands and tropical climates, and explored forgotten places with camera in hand. His unique aesthetic brings vibrant imagery to life in print, telling a visual story with his photography. Garretson also does portrait and real estate work. Learn more here.
