CAST’s annual Young at Heart dinner is taking place this Friday, March 1 from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at Greenport Harbor Brewing Co. in Peconic. This 10th annual dinner, which also includes dancing to the sounds of Frank Sinatra, benefit’s the organization’s winter emergency fund. CAST’s mission is to promote self-sufficiency and provide a safety net for Southold Town residents in need. The event is an opportunity to help our neighbors in need. New board member, Rich Vandenburgh, who is also an owner of the brewery, offered to host the event this year.
At the dinner, CAST will also honor their Neighbors Helping Neighbors award winners, Alex Vinash and Brent Pelton of American Beech, for their generosity and commitment to helping those who need it most. For those unable to attend, donations are greatly appreciated and can be made online or in person.
