East On Main Opens

The former Four Doors bar and restaurant in Mattituck has been revamped to be a rustic breakfast, lunch, and dinner spot that speaks to the North Fork’s farming and fishing lifestyle. The newly opened EAsT on Main restaurant features an appealing comfort food menu that is sure to hit the spot. Try fried mac and cheese with spicy ranch dipping sauce, homemade brioche sliders topped with BBQ dry rubbed pulled pork and coleslaw, and baked Long Island little neck clams topped with toasted bacon and Parmesan cheese to start. Entrees include fried chicken, meatloaf, shrimp and grits, and handmade spaghetti topped with the restaurant’s own red gravy. There are several omelet choices for breakfast that come with home fries and homemade biscuits.

The restaurant aims to honor the local heritage of the North Fork, catering to the farmers, fishermen, winemakers, and purveyors that help to define the region. It is a family-friendly and welcoming place, so visitors off the fork will have just as good a time as any. Cheers!
