A lifelong resident of Long Island, Tom McCloskey has developed both a strong appreciation and knowledge of the pastoral North Fork. Currently residing in New Suffolk, he enjoys serving real estate clients throughout the unique and special North Fork neighborhoods, sharing his passion and expertise.
Tom came to the world of real estate after 26 years in the financial world as a broker and trader in the commodity markets serving a diverse clientele. His finely-honed negotiating skill, market insight and client-centric business approach that led to his prior success are valuable assets to anyone looking to acquire, sell or rent property.
Tom’s broad background in financial trading, market research and customer relations help his real estate clients make important investment and lifestyle decisions. He spent nearly two decades on the trading floors of the New York Mercantile Exchange and New York Board of Trade. He also managed his own independent floor brokerage operation while trading his own capital for most of his career, which taught him to think fast and negotiate well.
Tom holds a degree in Marine Transportation with a minor in Economics from SUNY Maritime College at Fort Schuyler. Being an avid fly fisherman, he is an active member of the South Shore Marlin and Tuna Club and the North Fork Anglers.
