Lighthouse Tours

One of our favorite things about the North Fork are all of the opportunities you have to be on the water. Whether it is an afternoon boating, being able dine waterside or arrive to your favorite restaurant by boat, or even just sunbathing on the beach, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the bays, harbors, and Long Island Sound. With the East End Seaport Museum and Marine Foundation and Peconic Cruise Line, you can also explore landmarks like local lighthouses.

This Thursday, August 2 join the museum aboard the Peconic Star II for a 3.5-hour lighthouse excursion. Travel to Long Beach Bar “Bug” Light and go inside the lighthouse, cruise over to Orient Point and Plum Island Lighthouse, and then go searching for local species of seals at the ruins of Fort Tyler. On the voyage back you will even get to enjoy the sunset from the water. Tickets are $69 for adults, $49 for 15 and under, and $59 for seniors, members, and military.
