Kate’s Cheese Co. on Front Street, which occupies the former North Fork Art Collective space (don’t worry, they moved just a few doors down), opened this past weekend. Serving cheese and meat boards accompanied by nuts, dried fruit, chutney, and crackers, the shop will also offer cheese-based sandwiches, which will rotate. Try a grilled Cubano with karst cave aged cheddar and gruyere with sliced ham, Backyard Brine pickles, Dijon aioli and Tom Cat sourdough bread, or Beemster goat gouda with bacon, sliced pears, and balsamic demi glaze Tom Cat rosemary focaccia.
All wine is sourced from local vineyards including Croteaux Vineyards, Lieb Cellars, Jamesport Vineyards, McCall Wines, and more. Beer has been imported from craft breweries around the northeast. The shop will offer more than food and drinks as well. Art and handmade furniture by local artisans will be for sale in the back of the space, further emphasizing the local community. Expect live music coming soon as well.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
