In our Thanksgiving issue, we highlighted the Peconic Cellar Door in our Holiday Gift Guide. The tasting room is home to winemakers Robin Epperson-McCarthy of Saltbird Cellars and Alie Shaper of As If wines and Brooklyn Oenology. Here are some of their tips for pairing different wines with holiday favorites.
Sip Brooklyn Oenology 2013 Broken Land orange wine with charcuterie, roast pork and harvest veggies. As If Courage Rosé is a great complement to turkey and green beans, or as an aperitif holiday sipping wine. For seafood lovers, try Haywater Cove NV Chardonnay with lobster bisque. Long Island duck is great with Haywater Cove NV Merlot, while Saltbird Cellars Migratus Barrel fermented and aged Sauvignon Blanc pairs nicely with Provence herbed roast chicken and root vegetables. Cheers![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
