HALLOCK MUSEUM FARM
Dedicated to reconnecting the community to the area’s shared agricultural heritage, nonprofit Hallockville Museum Farm offers various programs and events year-round. Museum tours, educational classes, workshops, special events, fairs and festivals support the property, which is on the National Register of Historic Places and is a Riverhead Town Landmark. This weekend, learn about floral design and create table arrangements, or learn about woodcarving.
Next weekend, the annual North Fork Horseradish Festival returns with co-sponsor Holy Schmitt’s Horseradish. A number of vendors will be onsite including food from The North Fork Shack, Little Creek Oysters, Homeslice Pizza, North Fork Brewing Co., Bridge Lane Wines, and more. Other popular events at the Riverhead farm include barn dances, the fleece and fiber fair, maritime traditions, and of course, the country fair and craft show, which takes place in August. Tours of the historic property begin again Memorial Day weekend.
