There’s a new restaurant in the Village of Greenport that’s getting some attention for more than their menu. Greenhill Kitchen, which occupies the former Harbourfront Deli and The Loft on Front Street, is owned by father and son team Christoph and Robin Mueller. The two are working with co-owner and chef Wolfgang Ban to bring their Swiss and Austrian heritages, respectively, to the farm-to-table restaurant. The menu features sandwiches like pork belly BLT, lobster roll, and Portobello sandwich, along with entrées that are a nod to their heritage including käse spätzle and wiener schnitzel. They also hope to liven up the upstairs space as a music venue.
The Muellers have taken a liking to Greenport, also buying Industry Standard’s building and business as well as the neighboring Deep Water Bar and Grille building. They have their eyes set on more real estate in the village, though they share they do not have plans to make drastic changes.
