Fatface Opens In Greenport

A new clothing store has opened its doors to Greenport’s shoppers. FatFace, a British retailer specializing in casual wear for men, women, and children, began in 1988 as a campervan t-shirt and sweatshirt company in the French Alps. Product lines expanded over the years as did its entrance into brick and mortar and online retail. Today there are more than 200 stores, including a shop in Southampton and now in Greenport.

FatFace takes over the former Goldsmith’s Toy Store at 136 Main Street, which moved just a few doors down. Just in time for summer, new fashions include casual linen and cotton dresses in floral prints, stripes, and solids, and other pieces that can take you from day to night. For men, short-sleeve printed button-up shirts in tropical flower and leaf prints will be popular, as well as organic cotton printed t-shirts. The shop is now open daily.
