The Barnyard Pumpkin Patch at Harbes Family Farm in Mattituck is having its grand opening this weekend, September 29-30. Celebrate the start of this family-friendly, seasonal adventure on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The two-day festival allows participants to explore the U-Pick pumpkin patch to find various pumpkins on the vine as well as gourds to choose from for fall decorating. Food will be available as well as vintages from the Harbes Vineyard right on site.
Kids 12 and under can partake in a free donut eating contest that takes place twice daily. Take a tour of the 100-acre farm while enjoying music during the farm’s popular singing hayrides. Both days will feature live music in the central courtyard/picnic area. While there is plenty of family fun to be had, we suggest you head out early to get a jump on weekend traffic.
