This Saturday and Sunday the annual East End Maritime Festival returns to the Village of Greenport for the 29th year. The weekend-long celebration honors local maritime heritage with a street fair and events taking place all day long. Visitors can enjoy the Maritime Festival Parade followed by the Merry Merfolk Contest Judging on Saturday morning. Mystic Whaler Harbor Cruises will take place throughout the weekend. At the East End Seaport Museum, Japanese fish printing workshops are available for children as well as adults. Take a Bug Light cruises and tours, and listen to live music throughout the village.
Local restaurants in the heart of the village will set up shop on the sidewalks with food and drink specials all weekend. Sample favorites and or try new bites, visit various food trucks stationed throughout while drinking cold beer, sipping on wine, and enjoying refreshing cocktails.
