Greenport: The North Fork’s Vacation Destination

Marking its 175th anniversary as an incorporated village in 1838, Greenport, was settled in 1682, and was originally a major fishing and whaling port. Located near the easternmost tip of Long Island’s North Fork, Greenport borders Long Island Sound on the north and the Peconic Bay on the south.

What Makes Greenport Special?

“Greenport’s downtown waterfront is the gem of our Village with The Mitchell Park Marina and Carousel welcoming visitors and residents year round. Greenport is a walking Village that offers many shops, restaurants and art galleries. As a long time resident and recently elected Village Trustee,  I have a deep love for this Village.
