From Strong’s Peconic Bay marina in Mattituck, boaters can experience pristine beaches, peaceful cruising and ideal conditions for watersports, and take jaunts to Shelter Island, the Hamptons and beyond. Current model Pursuit and Cobalt boats, from 18 to 24 ft., are available for rent by the day, week or season. If you are a new boater, Strong’s offers specially-designed training to get you boating safely and comfortably this summer. “There’s nothing better than welcoming a family back from their maiden voyage on the water,” says Jeff Strong. “their ear-to-ear grins say it all.”
Strong’s Water Club & Marina location on Mattituck Inlet offers direct access to Long Island Sound’s excellent fishing grounds, the Connecticut shoreline and points North. This casual resort offers 9 acres of park-like grounds, a saltwater pool (with a limited number of pool memberships available), a palm-tree-dotted poolside beach, beach volleyball and more. The newly-opened Pace’s Dockside restaurant serves local seafood, signature steaks, select Long Island wines and summer cocktails. With indoor and outdoor dining and a tiki bar, the Water Club provides plenty of opportunities for refreshment.
For those seeking a truly carefree boating experience, captaining services are available at both Strong’s locations. Strong’s offers special waterside events throughout the season, including the popular Sound of Summer music series, open to the public. Be sure to mark your calendar and head to Strong’s for fun on the water this summer! Strong’s Sound of Summer concert series is held on the lawn at Strong’s Water Club & Marina. All events run from 4 to 8 PM; a select food and beverage selection from Pace’s Dockside Restaurant is available for purchase.
