Spring Is Near

SCould it be that temperatures are predicted to be above freezing this week? A little sneak peek into Spring weather is certainly welcomed across the North Fork, and we’re eager to get outside in our gardens, visit favorited restaurants, hike local trails and walk the beach.

Get your spring garden ready by visiting some of the North Fork’s best garden centers and speak with a pro on what you can get ready to plant now. We love Clarke’s Garden in Greenport, Garden of Eve in Riverhead, and Verderber’s in Aquebogue. New restaurants are opening this spring, including Ellen’s on Front in Greenport, which will replace Salamander’s, Maroni in Southold, and Terra by American Beech, which will replace Basso in Greenport’s Stirling Square. Little Creek Oyster Farm is opening a second location at the Port of Egypt Marina in Southold. There are many trails to explore on the North Fork that are also perfect for birders. Check out Downs Farm Preserve in Cutchogue, North Fork Audubon Society in Greenport, Mashomack Preserve on Shelter Island, and Arshamomaque Preserve in Greenport. A walk on the beach is always a great spring activity, too. Tell us what you’re looking forward to this spring by tagging us in your Instagram posts @northforkrealestateshowcase!
