It’s back! This is the week to explore new restaurants and rediscover old favorites across Long Island. On the North Fork in particular, here’s what we’re looking forward to trying during Long Island Restaurant Week…
Start with steamed Prince Edward Island mussels with speck, cherry peppers, basil, and roasted garlic cream at aMano in Mattituck. The spaghetti squash latkes with homemade apple sauce and crème fraiche at American Beech in Greenport are another great first course. Try the marinated and pan seared hanger steak with a creamy mustard sauce with a hint of honey and herbs over mashed Yukon potatoes and sautéed vegetables at Farm Country Kitchen in Riverhead. If you’re into a fish dish, try the Asian marinated roasted salmon over potato with mixed roasted cauliflower at Pure North Fork Craft Bar and Bistro in Wading River.
