What is the most challenging aspect of being a real estate agent?
I have been fortunate to successfully hone a happy medium over these many years in the business, to marry as best as possible the very critical real estate goals of the seller, to the excited wish list of the buyers. The challenge before this takes place is gaining the consumer’s trust that you are highly knowledgeable and professional, you sincerely care about them fulfilling their dreams, that you are service oriented, and have all the skills to bring a transaction through its various trials, from the first offer to the closing table months later.
What makes the North Fork Unique?
It never ceases to delight all who visit this special place…the vastness still of beautiful undeveloped open acreage and preserved farmland vistas, the notoriety of the many very fine vineyards, several producing world class elegant wines (we have all heard reference as the “next Napa Valley”), the fact that we are surrounded by Bay and Sound beaches and marinas in every hamlet; and of course, all of our fabulous delish restaurant cuisine. Truly a perfect place to vacation or spend all your days. How fortunate are we to live and work in such an inspiring and desirable environment.
What do you like to do on the North Fork… after selling real estate of course?
My husband Ted and I always enjoy taking a spin when our schedules allow, visiting one of the many galleries or museums, just driving around with a camera and shooting lovely views, historic homes and old barns that we love. We also fish – surf casting especially, and as a matter of course, usually end the day at one of our favorite bistros for dinner, starting with ice cold local oysters. Just another great day in the neighborhood!
