LThe North Fork Environmental Council and North Fork Audubon Society are teaming up for the 3rd annual Organic Lawn Care and Landscaping Workshop on Saturday, March 23 at 10:30 a.m. Presentations will be given on organic lawn care practices for beautiful landscapes, healthy bodies, and clean water, tips and tricks to establish bird-friendly communities in backyards will be offered, and you will learn important information about organic fertilizer, compost, and tips to control weeds using natural methods and products.
Glynnis Barry of Peconic Green Growth will speak on Protecting the Aquifer, Luke Gervase from LISSMA will speak on Managing Evasive Species, and Brian Smith from LINPI will speak on Incorporating Native Plants into Your Landscape. You will learn everything you need to keep your outdoor spaces beautiful and green, without all of the toxic chemicals. The workshop takes place at the Peconic Lane Community Center.
