LAVENDER BY THE BAY IN CALVERTON
If you have ever driven through East Marion on a summer day, you’ve likely been caught up in the mayhem the local lavender farm brings. Despite the traffic congestion, Lavender by the Bay is a beautiful and serene farm with calming scents and shades of purple stretching in every direction. Now further west, lavender lovers can get a taste of what the North Fork farm offers with a new second location in Calverton. One planted acre of French and English lavender has just started to bloom, with several others on the way.
In addition to the lavender fields that draw many tourists and locals, the farm will also have a popup tent with various retail goods like dried lavender satchels, lavender bunches, and scented soaps, lotions, and oils. This location will be open on Saturdays and Sundays this month. The East Marion location, which was recently renovated, is open daily.
