IMPOSSIBLE BEEF

Impossible Foods Inc. has developed an entirely plant-based alternative to ground beef. The reason? “The world loves meat. But relying on cows to make meat is land-hungry, water-thirsty, and pollution-heavy. That’s why we set out to do the impossible: make delicious meats that are good for people and the planet.”

The ground beef smells, tastes, sizzles, and even bleeds like real meat. They’re designed for people that already love meat, and also appeal to vegetarians. Chefs are saying people can’t tell the difference, and love the taste. On the North Fork so far, Industry Standard in Greenport has been serving the Impossible Burger for the past couple of weeks.
