The Southold Historical Society Festive Victorian Decorators is a group of volunteers who have adorned the first-floor rooms of the Ann Currie-Bell house for many years. They have again transformed this iconic Victorian home into a magical Christmas setting of the past for the second annual Home for the Holidays Show House. The house will be open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. from November 24 through December 2. Tickets are $10 per person (children are free) and are available at the door or at the Southold Historical Society Office.
The Ann Currie-Bell collection consists of the writings, research, and photographs complied by Ann Hallock Currie-Bell (1897-1964), the Society’s first President. The Collection also contains a large amount of material on Ann’s husband, Scottish-American painter Thomas Currie-Bell (1873-1946). This collection and many others are on view at the Society’s various buildings, educating visitors on local history.
