The North Fork has a number of holiday events leading up to the New Year, and there are several happenings in the different towns and villages this Saturday, December 16. Here are some holiday gatherings you won’t want to miss…

At 5:30 p.m. hangout along the Peconic Riverfront for a community menorah lighting. Enjoy latkes and jelly donuts after the ceremony at Temple Israel. The Southold Opera and Southold Historical Society will host a holiday concert on both Saturday and Sunday, which will feature the French American Choir of New York and the Southold Opera Choir. Upbeat Christmas carols? We’ll take it! The Suffolk Theater on Main Street in Riverhead is featuring a Rockabilly Christmas concert with three music acts that are putting a doo wop twist on Christmas classics at 8 p.m. Whether it is the warm glow of candlelight or various forms of holiday music, there are plenty of ways to celebrate the holidays on the North Fork.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
