It’s time to celebrate dad, and on the North Fork there is plenty to see and do to make him feel special this weekend. One of the most popular celebrations is the 64th annual Mattituck Lions Club Strawberry Festival taking place Thursday, June 14 through Sunday, June 17. Carnival rides, live entertainment, all things strawberry, and of course, fireworks make this a fun family event.
Harbes Family Farm is also hosting the Father’s Day festival on Saturday, June 16 and Sunday, June 17. For older kids treating dad, Sparkling Pointe Vineyards and Winery and The North Fork Shack are teaming up at the winery to offer three sparkling wines paired with a pulled pork sammy, pickled watermelon, and shallot fries (advance registration required). For beer lovers, spend the afternoon at Greenport Harbor Brewing Co. tasting different beers, eating pub-style fare, and playing a game of cornhole on the lawn in Peconic.
