If you’re yearning to spend some time outdoors again, then join Group for the East End for a nature walk along the trails of Downs Farm Preserve in Cutchogue this Sunday, March 25 at 11 a.m. Director of environmental education Steve Biasetti will lead participants as they explore the forest ecosystem to identify common plants of the preserve and search for animals – and evidence of their presence – along the way. This time of year is also ideal for bird watching as the leafless trees allow for easy viewing to watch the various species perched in the branches or flying above the trails.

Whether you are a North Fork resident or just visiting, Group for the East End’s nature outings are a popular way to explore the incredible natural beauty of the East End. The experienced staff lead day and evening hikes, nature walks, wildlife searches, beach cleanups and habitat restorations, paddling trips, and environment-themed workshops and lectures.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
