Sofar Sounds is rethinking the live music experience with intimate performances that keep all details secret until the day of the actual event. With success in more than 350 cities around the world, their first Long Island concert was held in Greenport this past Saturday at the North Fork Art Collective. Those in the know enjoyed music performances from Kate Usher and the Sturdy Souls, Andreas Moe, and Oak and Ash. Here’s how it works…

Sofar Sounds announces a date and city on their website. The next Greenport date is Saturday, January 20, 2018 with an arrival time between 3:30 and 4 p.m. You apply for tickets (which are $15) and create your profile. Guests will be notified a few days before whether or not your application was successful, with a location announcement shortly after. Pretty easy! Events typically feature three acts, are BYOB, and require full attention. That means no talking or texting during performances, but why would you want to? Happy listening![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
