Though these tasty ocean dwellers are not quite available at local fish markets yet, it’s delectable counterpart – the octopus – can often be found on menus across the North Fork all year long. Grilled, fried, or on top of a salad, there are plenty of delicious ways to enjoy this tentacled seafood. Just add lemon! Here are some of our local suggestions.

For brunch at The Halyard have it grilled with shave Brussels sprouts salad, kimchi aioli, sweet chili glaze, and cilantro. At Noah’s, have octopus with Charissa spice, frisee, celery, capers, preserved lemons, and fingerling potatoes. Find charred octopus with seedless grapes, fingerling potatoes, capers, red onion, and black oil vinaigrette at A Mano. Go old school and get lightly breaded and deep fried calamari with marinara sauce at the Southold Fish Market. Wherever you go, you can’t go wrong![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
