La Plage

By Rachel Bosworth - June 18, 2018

Turns out you don’t have to travel far to feel worlds away… La Plage restaurant in Wading River is an intimate, tucked away spot set in a beautiful beach-front location. The French influenced menu treats diners to a delicious meal indoors or outdoors on the terrace. It’s the perfect location for a romantic evening with great food, cocktails, and wine.

Start with lobster and ricotta ravioli in a lobster cream sauce or try Applewood smoked beef carpaccio with Manchego cheese, mesclun, white truffle oil, and sage vinaigrette. The caramelized sea scallops with smoked bacon, apple, watercress, and cauliflower puree make an excellent summer entrée, as does the grilled marinated swordfish with mashed Carolina yams, wilted greens, and pineapple garlic mojo. What would summer on the waterfront be without a refreshing cocktail? We suggest sipping on the La Plage French 75 with organic gin, St. Germaine, fresh lemon and Champagne. Or when in doubt, you can never go wrong with a glass of Champagne on its own!
