Broker Showcase – Nicole LaBella

It’s about the client

NFRES: What is the most important lesson you have learned as a real estate agent?
NL: You can’t take things personally in this business. There is a lot of work that goes into buying and selling homes and properties, and the process is not always easy. At the end of the day it’s about your client and their happiness.

NFRES: What North Fork neighborhood do you consider to be real hot?
NL: Orient is on fire right now. Buyers are moving further east and looking for a real escape. It is a quiet, easygoing community with breathtaking properties. The beaches are steps away no matter where in Orient you may be.

NFRES: How do you live a healthy lifestyle on the North Fork?
NL: I am very into natural and organic food, which can be easily found on the North Fork at our wonderful, local farm stands. I buy all of my produce locally. I have three malteese dogs; Mia, Bella, and Colby who I spend time with making wholesome meals for. I think it’s important for both people and pets to take advantage of the organic food that is all around us.
I also spend a lot of time with them outside by the bay or sound. We’re lucky to live in a place that has a lot to offer.

NFRES: Can you tell us about one of your more notable listings?
NL: One listing that comes to mind is Alistair Cooke’s home on the tip of Nassau Point. He was a talented broadcaster on BBC, and other news outposts as well. The home is unique and the location itself is almost priceless. The home sold for just under $3 million.

NFRES: What advice would you give to new real estate agents?
NL: The most important thing is to listen to your buyers and sellers. Don’t always advise them, but make recommendations. After all, they are the ones in charge!
