Broker Showcase – Carol Szynaka

We sat down with Carol Szynaka of Daniel Gale-Sotheby’s for an exclusive interview.

NFRES: As one of the more seasoned real estate agents on the North Fork, what is it that sets you apart from the others?
CS: I owe my success in the real estate market on my ability to recognize talent and coordinate the efforts of many to bring about successful transactions. Starting with my associate Mariah Mills, for helping me to remain organized and be in two places at one time and skillfully managing the day-to-day needs of my clients. My other resources include a brilliant engineer, talented stager, plumber, electrician, overall handyman, and tag sale specialist. The people I rely on are the best in the business, spring to action when needed, and can handle the pressure of dealing with a demanding clientele.
NFRES: The North Fork is a unique market, would you agree and why?
CS: The North Fork is gaining momentum and popularity as a go to location. No longer are we the unknown hamlet of the east end. Influencers are talking up the North Fork vibe and developers are taking notice. Large, well-funded hoteliers, restaurateurs and entrepreneurs are looking at locations on the North Fork for new opportunities. Farm-to-table, Agritainment, Watersport, Golf, and Hot Yoga are just a few of the many pastimes drawing people to the North Fork, and extending our season.
NFRES: What is the most challenging aspect of being a real estate agent for you?
CS: I am very fortunate, I love my job and have the support of my loving family that give me their respect even when my demanding schedule keeps me away. As a real estate professional I am able to exercise many of my natural skills, design, creativity, problem solving, social skills, and analytics. I wake in the morning, head to work and don’t come home until the job is done, 7 days a week. The phone is the most important tool in real estate; calls, text, emails make the business run. On busy day I handle about 100 calls, 50 emails, and unlimited texts.
NFRES: What is the most personally satisfying part of your work?
CS: I appreciate all of my clients and work hard to earn their respect and hope to be selling real estate on the North Fork for a long time.  Watching my clients investments, along with the community grow and prosper, is my greatest satisfaction.
