The Wells House in Greenport was originally built c. 1859 by whaling Captain Wells, modeled after a Tuscan farmhouse. Purchased in 2008 by Vince Albert Icolari, it opened in 2010. It is the only “L-Shaped” Italianate in Greenport Village. Two guest rooms include The Captain’s Quarters suite with access to the cupola and The Chestnut View, a single room and separate bath. A three-course formal breakfast is served on antique china. There are two private covered porches and an old stone patio in the back. The Belvedere Inn in Peconic, owned by Lee and Marie Beninati since 2000, was originally built in the 1860s. Its original owner, Jesse Case decorated it in an ornate and elegant style, ideal for lavish parties. The Beninatis named it the “Belvedere” or “Beautiful View” for its cupola on the roof. This elegant Italianate Victorian Manor on 2.1 acres has four guest rooms with four private baths. Blue Iris in Cutchogue, built in 2002 in a farmhouse style by Lorry and Jerry Siani, opened in 2003. Featuring three guest rooms each with a private bath, Jacuzzi tub, and gas fireplace. They serve a full breakfast in their formal dining room with fresh eggs from their flock of chickens and herbs and vegetables from their gardens. There are four beautifully renovated guest rooms each with private baths. A full-course breakfast from the best local farms is served in the dining room. Wine Camp is a three night, four-day all inclusive package for $1299 per person, double occupancy. The Harvest Inn and Ellis House began Wine Camp nine years ago and together with The North Fork Table & Inn (where the first night’s dinner is held) provide guest rooms for 20 to 25 people who participate in this unique and fun learning experience. Days are spent in the vineyard and with winemakers. There are wine tastings at nine different vineyards. The last dinner is held at Touch of Venice. Each guest receives a case of wine. Experience “from the vine to the wine in the bottle” and reserve now for the July 20-23, 2015 Wine Camp.

Tapestry House in Greenport (formerly Bartlett House Inn) the largest B&B on the North Fork, now owned by Joan Murray, opened this past Valentine’s Day. It is a Classic Revival style mansion, built in 1908 by John Bartlett. It has 10 guest rooms, eight with private baths and a two-bedroom suite sharing a Jack & Jill bath. Each room has its own style, including French, English, Asian, and Edwardian. A rear entrance was newly added. A full-catered breakfast is served in the interior dining rooms. North Fork Guest House in Cutchogue, built in 1921 in an American four square, shingle style by the MacNish family, was first sold in 2014 to Alane Kelly and Daniel King. They opened it this past Memorial Day Weekend under a new name and concept. It has three guest rooms in a contemporary décor within the setting of an historic home. They serve a home-cooked country style breakfast using mainly local ingredients. Located on ½ acre in the heart of wine country, it has a front and side porch.
