[vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column][vc_column_text]Chefs and owners of 18 Bay on Shelter Island, Elizabeth Ronzetti and Adam Kopels, have been nominated as semi-finalists for a James Beard Award. Up for the prestigious title of Best Chef in the Northeast, the pair join just a few other Long Island chefs who have received a nomination throughout the awards competition’s history. A nomination alone is an honor, and the North Fork as a whole is looking forward to the announcement of the finalists on March 14.

18 Bay serves four-course Italian-inspired chef’s menus. Dishes highlight local produce, seafood, sustainable farming, and more, as well as homemade pasta. The seasonal menu changes weekly. Sample menu items include hand cut lasagnette with house made capon sausage and wild mushrooms, escarole salad with local calypso bean vinaigrette, and seafood stew with local fish, sea scallop, little neck clams, and fennel. While we anxiously await the James Beard Foundation to announce the finalists, treat yourself to a meal at 18 Bay!
